MARIO TESTINO’S MUSEUM EVOLVES

Mario Testino's Museum in Peru, MATE, announces its growth with the creation of new spaces and the expansion of its permanent collection "Alta Moda".

 Museo Mario Testino MATE, after its inauguration four years ago in Peru, announced its growth with new exhibition spaces and the expansion of the Permanent Collection, Alta Moda.

From a second floor, where new photographs by Mario Testino are exhibited and an additional room is created for temporary exhibitions, the new MATE gives more possibilities to organize more projects of contemporary art in the future.

The collection includes not only portraits, campaigns and editorial photos but also spontaneous images of parties, glimpses of social and cultural experiences that make up the DNA of Mario as a photographer.

As well as an exclusive selection Testino photographs of his muses like Kate Moss, Gisele Bundchen and Naomi Campbell and Kendall Jenner, Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid and Cara Delevingne. The world of music and film credits include Rihanna, Gwyneth Paltrow and Blake Lively, among others.

The new MATE presents as well a video installation room, which brings together various images of fashion and publishing films from the archives of the photographer.

A completely new experience, where Testino uses as a tool to create their works. It also will feature the short film, TESTINO, a personal interview directed by Jesse Dylan.

Since October 25, the MATE will present temporary exhibitions “Dr. Lakra “until February 2017 and “Strata” Miguel Andrade Valdez until April 2017.
