The Fondation Pierre Bergé has announced that it will open not one, but two museums dedicated to Yves Saint Laurent in 2017. The locations will be in Paris and in Marrakech, Morocco—the significance being that Yves Saint Laurent spent the majority of his life and career traveling between these two cities.

The museum in Paris will be housed in the Avenue Marceau mansion that served as the designer’s studio from 1974 to 2002. Overseen personally by Pierre Bergé, the space will be restored to how Yves had originally set it up as an atelier, including the walls that he littered with original sketches and photographs of his muses, ideas, and collections. Rotating displays throughout the space will feature a changing array of looks from his archive, which is comprised of 5,000 Haute Couture pieces and 15,000 accessories.
