Sofia Achaval is a Buenos Aires stylist who lives and works between Paris and Buenos Aires, she is a regular at the Paris fashion week and this is a little story on how she gets ready for the JACQUEMUS show, one of the coolest platforms before, during and after the show.
The inspiration behind her look is a very well known fashion Icon, Jerry Hall in the seventies, during the Antonio Lopez and Studio 54 years, when her hair was perfectly wavy and her makeup ranged between the coppers and golds.
1.- After moisturizing Sofia’s skin with ANNE SEMONIN LOTION VEGETALE, I applied a creamy and milky brown chocolate eyeshadow to set an undertone, it was by Makeup Forever artist palette, then the eyeshadow is a classic gold pigment in the inner corner of the eyes, and a darker reddish copper , just in the outer corners.
2.- Eyebrow are important but were not the main issue regarding the look, I used a very light pencil called STAY PERFECT -SHADE AND DEFINE by No.7, it has a little shimmer, which creates a soft and vintage feeling to her face, it enhances the eyebrow without defining it strongly.
3.- I didn’t use foundation at all, but there is a very famous and light pen call TOUCH ECLAT BY YSL, it was Sofia’s skin as well which made me go light, just to add light and glow instead of a heavy full coverage. The shade was 1.5.
4.- On the lips I created a simple orange pink by blending a couple of shades, one very matte and rich, and the top coat with a sheer orange tropical sheen.
The products are INFALLIBLE PAINTS shade 316 by L’OREAL and the top coat by LANCOME JUICY TUBES in SMOOTHIE.
5.- The hair is simple as well, just a matter of arm strength in order to be capable of finished a big setting of curls. A volumizing spray or mousse, a blow drier and then a curling iron to set the curls, once the makeup is done , just brush it in and make it wavy with a Mason Pearson brush, it’s the perfect tool for the Jerry Hall glamorous hair.
