A new face is a brutal material. A head, a body that I want to document in my own way. The impertinent beauty of some, the singularity of others and the insolent youth of all, makes french photographer Stéphane Gizard want to stop time.

Best known for portraits of young people created for his “Modern Lovers” series, photographer Stéphane Gizard’s gentle, kindly eye manages to capture the beauty and fragility of his subjects, which have included many celebrities and strangers.

In 2013, his first publication “Modern Lovers” received notable success. Following a period of flourishing sales at premier bookstores such as Strand in NYC, In 2014, Stéphane worked as the Artistic Director on the feature film “Bizarre”, written and directed by Etienne Faure and selected for the Berlin film festival the following year

“New Faces” is Gizard’s second publication that will be out on May 2017 but now available exclusive here, http://leseditions.bigcartel.com/product/new-faces.
A few seconds are enough to immortalize these young men and women who, in a relationship of total trust, give me their intimacy. Sometimes seductive, sometimes with no emotion. These bodies talk about our own youth. Of that incredible moment that many of us are looking to find again.
