For the Pre- Fall 2017 collection, the influences of mix of silhouettes, the energy, color and artistic influences from the Spring are explored. This collection is a kind of mid-point between the Spring collection and ideas that are percolating for the upcoming Fall show. The Fall collection has a luxury but casual feel. The fabrics are gathered to create generous volume and proportion, the drawstrings are decorative and functional, they appear in a variety of ways. Also, the Silhouettes are broken down into easy and relaxed outerwear rooted in traditional menswear, updated with detailing that gives them a feminine edge.

The key of this new collection is a kind of collaged, it’s rooted in strong wearable fashion. The dresses have asymmetric detailing, they are short and also long. Leather perfectos and re-constructed tailoring round out an almost season-less collection. And, knitwear continues to be pushed and explored, and is represented in both day and evening clothes.

On the other hand, handbags are also a very important category for Proenza Schouler. Haya and the Hex bags are the most recent handbags from the collection, they are pushed further and explored in novel colorful fabrications. Leather development has been a strong focus. Two new bags shapes are introduced. The first one is a soft tote bag with a generosity of volume. The second one is like a cousin to the PS1, but rendered in a new shape. Also Proenza Schouler shoes appear in different types and silhouettes, in different styles with practicality and a fashion edge.
