The Gucci’s Creative Director, Alessandro Michele, invites the British illustrator, Angelica Hicks, to collaborate on a series of drawings for a collection of T-shirts in limited edition. This multifaceted project will be launched on May 25, on the Gucci.com website in the United States and Europe. It will include 11 different T-shirts and only 100 units of each model. Each one has a numbered label like a lithograph, (eg 1/100).

Each T-shirt is presented in a vintage spirit metal box that reproduces the illustration of the T-shirt it contains and it will be wrapped in colored tissue paper and folded around a piece of stiff cardboard that will feature pre-cut miniatures of all the prints. Also, a printed card that presents the exclusive nature of the collection and invites customers to interact with the brand using the hashtag of the #guccigeeks project.

On a 760 square meter wall of Lafayette Street in New York’s Soho district, Gucci will also unveil the continuation of its first Art Wall, launched in February with an illustration of the artist Jayde Fish of San Francisco . This project continues with two Angelica Hicks drawings. One will appear in the same place as the first Art Wall in Manhattan, and the other on a wall of Largo la Foppa in Milan.

Colossal Media’s designs in New York and Urban Vision in Milan showcase the unique beauty of mural advertising paint, painted by hand in six days. Also, Angelica Hicks created a Snapchat geofilter that will be available near the New York mural. In addition, a Gucci gala dinner organized by the artist will be held in New York on May 18th.
