Chanel awarded at the GPHG 2016

The french maison Chanel for third year, wins at Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) for the watch "Les Signais Grenat" in the Jewellery category.

Chanel was awarded, for the third year, at the ceremony of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG), for the watch Les Etternelles de Chanel “Signature Garnet”, in the category “Jewelery”.

Conceived as a capsule collection, expression of any the creativity and know-how of Haute Joaillerie of Chanel, is enriched over the years. This year the Design Studio of Chanel Haute Joaillerie pays tribute to the design iconic of the House, the Quilted.

Squares of diamonds embellished with exceptional stones juxtapose themselves in a game of mirrors and evoke the spirit of CHANEL’s couture. Like a precious embroidery, this unique piece made of 18 carat white gold is padded with diamond squares and dotted with orange sapphires. In the center, a 52.61 carat carmine garnet rises delicately and unveils a watch set with diamonds, shaped curved square.

The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie in Geneva, which is intended to celebrate the productions, awarded annually the best creations and the most important players in the watchmaking world. The pre-selected watches as part of the GPHG, as well as the laureates, participate in an itinerant exhibition in Seoul, Rome, Geneva and Dubai, International to discover and admire the most beautiful timepieces of the year, exceptionally gathered, during the months of October and November.
