This season’s Men’s Tailoring campaign features Daniel “Dapper Dan” Day, a famous fashion designer from Harlem whose customized creations were popular with the stars in the 80s and 90s before the closing of his eponymous boutique.

This fascinating series of portraits reflects Dapper Dan’s confidence and celebrates his cultural heritage by photographing him in familiar places in his neighborhood of Harlem.
In the portfolio of images captured by photographer Glen Luchford, one discovers
Dapper Dan in streets where children play on sidewalks dodging the jets water hoses and making jump ropes.

The famous Apollo Theater, the illustrious Harlem theater, appears in a symbolic image. This historic music-hall renamed Apollo in 1934 has hosted performances by Duke Ellington, Aretha Franklin, The Supremes, Prince, Michael Jackson, James Brown and many others.
