An artful performance was held in Harbor City on Canton Road, Hong Kong for the opening of a new flagship store for MONCLER. Sources of inspiration for the new generations of creatives made of intuitive associations between the artistic vision and the timeless style proper to the House. The frenetic energy, theatrical and futuristic urban landscape, are the perfect setting to host the Moncler event Destination Hong Kong.

About 10,000 Mr. Moncler, a small man about 50 cm tall and symbolic godfather of the brand, between pop culture and comic humor, have been positioned in several key locations of the city, animating the streets while interacting with passersby. Mr. Moncler becomes a tribute to the people of Hong Kong who will have the opportunity to actively participate in the event. Starting from five symbolic locations around the world, Tokyo, St. Moritz, Melbourne, Berlin, Los Angeles – Mr. Moncler stops in Hong Kong and shortens the distances that separate him from these cities, as a claim to universality. The cities, represented by their sign, like those found in the mountains, unequivocal reference to the origins of the brand, are reproduced everywhere, as on the patches sewn on the back of the down coat silver endorsed by Mr. Moncler.

A special collection, inspired by an intense silver tone in the seventies, will be dedicated to the five cities and presented exclusively in Hong Kong for the opening of the Moncler boutique. An emblematic item is the silver-lacquered coat with white interior, punctuated by the five cities that adorn the highly chromatic silicone bands in large print. With an event of international scale and the use of different instruments, Moncler experiences a marriage between fashion and art, in question the stability of a brand that for more than sixty years has made of uniqueness its distinctive features.
The artist Craig Costello, the most visionary and inspiring street artist of today, will personalize Mr. Moncler 350: a limited number of unique works, emblem of the event, will be offered to those, once the performance is over , will be present in selected locations and will have the chance to leave with the author Mr. Moncler.

“Art has always been a key tool in Moncler communication. With this project we decided to pay tribute to the message of universality linked to art, through a combination of expression and imagination. Moncler’s partnership with artist Craig Costello has allowed us to blend Moncler’s DNA with the paint-drip aesthetic brand to create a unique, globally recognizable project, “said Remo Ruffini, president and CEO. General Manager of Moncler.

“Moncler is famous for its commitment to quality and style. I’m really excited to have the opportunity to work with Moncler because I share his passion for creativity, and work tirelessly to continue to build a unique history and heritage, “added Craig Costello.

For Moncler, fashion, beyond fashion, is the expression of individuality; able, precisely like art, to express life. It is the intuition of ever new mixes between technology and nature, mountain and city, functionality and aesthetics.
