For her second season, Creative Director Julia Haart embarked on a creative exploration of nature seen through the eyes of the artist. The designer was inspired by the motif of the British garden as captured by painters throughout history.

La Perla’s lingerie expertise is highlighted throughout the collection. For Fall/Winter 2017, Julia Haart evolved the concept of built-in-lingerie introduced last season in the hallmark Corset Jacket. To ensure precise and unparalleled fit, the sizing of each of these garments is sold not only according to dress size, but also cup size.

Evening gowns are stunning and incomparably comfortable. Structured bustiers brace the outside of slip dresses creating a gorgeous silhouette that is at once fitted, supportive, and flowing with embroidered flowers and sparkling embellishments meticulously applied by hand.

Shoes and bags playfully exhibit Julia Haart’s exploration of the garden in art with charming details. Metal elements and jewelry pieces that adorn the accessories bring to mind the creatures found in a garden and spotted in paintings of the natural realm: spiders, birds, crickets, bees.

The footwear collection is jewelry for the feet: delicate, sculptural details decorate the shoes, which demand to be examined with pleasure, much like a work of art. The handbag collection centers around two key shapes this season: the Ada Bag and the 1954 Bag, which incorporates the signature La Perla suspender hook detailing. Both are shown in a new miniature size.
