The Marni Spring/Summer 2018 collection tells of the constant search for beauty through the rediscovery of items, shapes and codes of the past, reinterpreted for the present.
The footwear of the collection consists of pumps with a comma heel and round toes, the bon-ton spirit of which is mixed with strong contemporary and deliberately naive accents.
The uppers in soft, low-shine calfskin, are designed with an ironic pearl and precious stone motif as though decorated with a stylised necklace.
The graceful shapes are toned down in the long-haired pony skin versions, lending a lively and witty mood to the overall look, enhanced by use of pink and sky-blue colours.
