Would you imagine how many textures can come out from one color? Dressing up in monochromatic colors gives us a slightly aristocratic and timeless air, this look never fails to turn heads up.

Thom Browne brings us back in time with his collection for this fall 2016. The designer preforms a story in all his runways, this time he develops the comeback of 13 members of a gentlemen’s club in the 20’s. The scene of the show was very dramatic, it started with all the furniture covered up with white blankets.

The thought-provoking feeling in the line up can be related to the surrealism of the artist René Magritte because of the repetition, the empty frames, the bowler hats tipped that were worn as masks. It shows the transition of the looks in three phases, as if the wardrobe traveled through time. At first tears are shown, then it starts to recover its shape, and finally it turns out to have a perfect and original form.

Browne remarked “For me, there is a lot of color within the world of grey”. Key characteristics that represent this runway are overcoats, tailoring, fur details and embroidery. The icon that he chose as the pattern for this collection is the dog, as can be seen in clothing and accessories such as furry and leather handbags.
