Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez say goodbye to long-time lover NYFW to head for the stars in the city of love. A collection much like a farewell before leaving, perhaps not forever, to couture in Paris.

Proenza Schouler sets the bar high up in it’s new Fall / Winter collection, where outerwear is plenty and Cloth coats came oversize with decorative zips down the inside of one sleeve. Biker jackets proclaiming the brand’s name cut in half and bold abstract prints with the tribal resonance could be found in some of the looks. And, as innovative and adventurous as the pair can be, their puzzle-like dresses with layers and a collage feel are a marvelous sight to see in movement.

As a last goodbye the talented designers wanted the runway to be a celebration of New York “Not political per se, but it’s about doing something, getting involved,” said Hernandez. “That’s what New York is about.”
