This season, Gucci travels to Rome, the birthplace of Creative Director Alessandro Michele, to collaborate with iconic British photographer Mick Rock. The result of this collaboration is “Roman Rhapsody“, a series of raw, moving and fascinating portraits of real people in real places.

The subjects are photographed on the spot in their apartment or the gardens of the city. These images blend with naturalistic and intimate portraits made in the studio to reveal all the charisma of our characters. This portfolio is a tribute to true anti-conformists and eccentrics.

Mick Rock’s experience with flamboyant and trendy rock stars proved useful as it allowed him to take a unique look at these eccentric characters. “Being constantly stimulated by clothes helped me a lot,” he says. “They are just fabulous, and full of colors. Without forgetting of course the personality of Alessandro, who is very open and very generous! ”
