The Blumarine Resort 2017 collection is spontaneous and sensual, with an air of demure nonchalance.

Airy volumes, crispy textures, pervasive ease, lightness.  The Spring 2017 Blumarine Resort collection suggests easiness as a way of dressing and behaving. Elegantly.

Recurring nods to 50s American sportswear, spiced with impalpable roominess and fluid tailoring, suggest en plein air scenarios. A day in the sun, gardening: crispy sundresses, tiered floaty dresses.

The Blumarine woman is languid, yet active, mixing lace with knitwear, pairing shirts with flounced skirts, decorating black & white gingham with colourful embroideries. The purposeful trench-coat is made of denim and defined by white stitches.

Volumes are big, playful and urban. Unexpected slits and straps crossing the back of satin dresses suggest an effortless, natural take on sensuality.

The palette is sophisticated and natural: white, sand, black, light blue with dashes of coral.

The Blumarine proclivity for unexpected pairings continues: dentelle lace is mixed with suede; bright stripes hinting subtly at surfing run on the perfecto jacket. Materials are airy: crispy cotton, chiffon, lace.

A dash of humor: flowers blooming along a powder-hued mink coat.
