The lifestyle of the stars and the great fortunes of Hollywood has always been a favorite subject for filmmakers. It’s this cinematic genre that inspired the film from Gucci’s latest campaign. Sunny palm-lined avenues, Rodeo Drive shops, private pools and secluded villas make up the familiar backdrop of this campaign exclusively dedicated to one of the House’s signatures: the Sylvie handbag.

In reference to the mother-daughter relationship in Hollywood, the campaign features award-winning actress Faye Dunaway alongside SoKo, French singer-songwriter and actress who plays her daughter.

The character of Faye Dunaway spends her days driving limos with drivers, signing autographs, shopping at Rodeo Drive, relaxing by a pool, playing tennis and indulging luxury leisure. We discover it through the eyes of his daughter who often accompanies him. The third character of the film is the omnipresent Sylvie bag worn by the lamère. The film concludes on a scene where she offers one of her bags Sylvie to her daughter, as a symbolic gift to cherish from generation to generation.

The campaign will be launched online today on Gucci.com and digital platforms, then print in the September issues of the press.
