ABOUT WORK & LIFESTYLE

Paris Social Diary: How are you today?

Eleonora Carisi: Sick in bed by 7 days. Poor me.

Paris Social Diary: How would you describe your personal style?

Eleonora Carisi: Dinamic. I always love to try different things and i change my look everyday. It’s all about the attitude and the feelings.

ñ

Paris Social Diary: What things you did during fashion week?

Eleonora Carisi: This morning we had fittings for tomorrow’s show for Valentino and yesterday we had three shows and Iris Van Herpen’s party at night. We came back very late.

Paris Social Diary: How used are you to Fashion shows?

Eleonora Carisi: It depends on what i’m doing, when I first started this job I did a lot of things but now I can decide on what I get my energy into. I’m thinking more strategically.

Last year I did all the shows because if you want to be more time on Italy you have to do a few things and focus on it. So I decided not to come for the Paris Fashion week but for couture I always have Valentino and, for the first time, a lot more shows so I came for more days.

Paris Social Diary: We know about the latest Francesco Scognamiglio couture show?

Eleonora Carisi: Yes. It’s his second time, the prêt-à-porter is always in Milan but for Couture is the second time he’s doing it here.

Paris Social Diary: What about Versace?
l
Eleonora Carisi: I dit it for Men’s Fashion Week but not for Couture. I did Vauthier, Ulyana Sergeenko and Valentino. Also a presentation of Rami Kadi which is a brand I support. All in four days so it’s very intense. I prefer to enjoy couture because at the end you have time for yourself.

Paris Social Diary: How would you describe Italian style today? And French style?

Eleonora Carisi: Italian style is full of charme and quality. Its very different from the French style. Us italians, we have taste in a simple way. Meanwhile french style sometimes is very pretentious.

Paris Social Diary: What do you think about the Fashion Industry today? Are you interested in any other industry?

Eleonora Carisi: Im interested in the food industry, the only market that works today. People love to eat and they love to have an incredible experience; you can do this while you share food with your friends and your love.

The fashion industry today is literally in the caos. It’s changed, I don’t know whats going on in the magazines and generally it’s sad what’s happened but it’s a new beginning. The problem in Italian fashion is that everybody is very old. In China the fashion director is 24 years old, it’s incredible. In Italy they are 64 years old. You see, everything now is digital so we need something new, a change. For us who are young it’s a new beginning.

I had a store for 11 years and my mother still has the store by 50 years so every day I have to face with the fashion reality and it’s not very good.

Paris Social Diary: Everything is changing

Eleonora Carisi: We are all very creative like artists. We can do a great process of creation and invent something but we don’t release everything. A lot of shows and brands reminiscence of the 50’s so nothings very new. They need to release something new for the consumer. This industry is for the people that buy it so they need a new story and experience.

ABOUT FUTURE PROJECTS

Paris Social Diary: How do you feel about being one biggest influencers in Italy and have worked with brands such as Elie Saab and Valentino? What would be the next step?

Eleonora Carisi: I’m so proud and full of passion and love for what I’m doing. Happy to have the chance to know and work with maison like that. My next project is a TV show/documentary for Real Time and back to design for a capsule collection.

ll

Paris Social Diary: What are you working on these days?

Eleonora Carisi: Working home with a very big paper campaign for a brand that is not fashion. Thrilled about this.

l

l

Paris Social Diary: You are going back to Milan to your own projects there…

Eleonora Carisi: Yes, an agency and website. On the 27th I see my clients, I concentrate everything in one day because my partner does all appointments while I’m away. We have two new clients and then I come here again for the events. Then I have three weeks before the meetings for fashion week to focus on a digital projects and Grumble.

Paris Social Diary: What are you doing in “Grumble”?

Eleonora Carisi: Grumble is a project of mine and also my partner’s Paolo Stella. I’m doing all the creative part. In general we do digital service, we manage instagram’s profile of brands, luxury and lifestyle clients, restaurants, celebrities and personal accounts. Then we do production and photo production to experience with celebrities and bloggers because we now very well how to do it.

Lastly we’ve work in the packaging projects for chocolates. What we do depends on our clients. It’s very creative.

Paris Social Diary: What are your expectations for JouJouvilleroy?

Eleonora Carisi: We started promoting the design of the stores I owned for seven years not anymore because I quit last year. Then I decided to make more lifestyle but then with p everything has changed. It’s very sad because people don’t want to read now, it’s very visual.

You need to give a total view of a project, not just a picture. Like an editorial you need at least five pages to understand what is going on in the creation.

I’m doing three posts a month where one or two are my clients, they ask me to do the posts. Then I have an assistant that does all the reviews for what we are interested in, like art and photographers.
