If you’re born without wings, don’t do anything to stop them from growing.” That’s how  Gabrielle Chanel defined liberty. The designer fought for its success and earned her liberty, she founded her House alone and refused to depend on anyone. She granted women freedom of movement and made supple, traditionally masculine materials her signature. She transformed those emblems into symbols that surpassed codes, she established a suntanned face as the sign of radiant beauty and independent femininity. She establish the codes of olfactory abstraction and invent modern perfumery launching her own perfume, N°5, she also, converted high jewelry in fake pearls and costume jewelry. Gabrielle Chanel worked for herself and succeeded on her own, she loved without lies, was passionate and honest and won her independence.

This year, CHANEL is celebrating Gabrielle. A handbag was designed by Karl Lagerfeld in her honor and a perfume called GABRIELLE CHANEL will be launch next fall. rebelliousness, freedom, passion and allure are the values that governed Gabrielle’s life, values that today continue inspiring women everywhere and served as synopses for four films featured on the Inside CHANEL site in 2017, following the release of a first chapter comes chapter 20: Gabrielle, The Quest for Freedom. Every short film reveals a facet of Gabrielle Chanel or of Karl Lagerfeld’s vision, the episodes in Inside CHANEL are there to make your own.
