What prompted me to work with Louis Vuitton, the challenge create a wonderful background. Like many people, I travel a lot ; I therefore feel in a privileged position to design this bag as much as user as creator, “said Marc Newson.

At the center of the concept is a new self-reinforced composite material polypropylene. This constitutes the structure, the trunk, molded in layers in a grid matrix. Its properties —exceptional finesse, lightness and elasticity – allow it to absorb shocks. The iconic Monogram canvas Louis Vuitton has been specially developed in a release light of nearly 50%, while respecting its original qualities.

The handle anodized aluminum was placed outside of the bag, providing a better structure and more
strength, while significantly increasing the space internal storage. This new cane completely removes annoying bumps and ridges associated with telescopic mechanism internally, thereby increasing the useful space in the baggage.

Other innovative features include a new hinge side cross, incorporated into the structure of the bag itself, as in the traditional Louis Vuitton trunks, allowing a 180 degree opening.

“I’m obsessed with the possibility of my luggage, carrying everything I need in a given space.
This is why it was important to me to design a product meeting all these constraints and that would be the ideal bag for a person like me who travel with nothing but that which is strictly necessary. “, comments Newson.

The bag comes in Monogram canvas, Monogram Eclipse Damier Graphite, Taiga leather, old leather and a rainbow sky 7 color Epi Leather. In 2017, an exclusive bag, titanium laser etched Monogram pattern, will be added to the collection. Suitcases exist two cab sizes: 50 (50 x 35 x 20 cm), 55 (55 x 39 x 21 cm). A larger size 70 (68 x 46 x 26 cm) will be launched in 2017.
