The Tutu, Sheer textures, and Red (as the season color) are key trends that have been popping up at the runways of Paris Haute Couture Summer/Spring 2016. Giambattista Valli features these trends and embraces the attacks on Paris by making references in the collection to the most representative gardens of the city, Bagatelle, Palais-Royal, Luxembourg and the Tuileries.

The empire silhouette, exaggerated volumes, balloon sleeved were inspired by “Les Soeurs de Napoléon,” an exhibition at the Marmottan Monet. Va-va-voom the line-up shown voluminous ruffled silk organza gowns that make a dramatic scene and allure showing cut out shoulders.

The strapless poppy red gown clearly stole the attention of the spectators, other colors that were present were white, baby blue, peony rose, and smoky black. Spotted on the front row Livia Firth and Blanca Li at the couture show.
