Portraits androgynous, melancholic looks and delicate compositions recreate a daily world full of dream. A world that seduces Lucas Ossendrijver, the artistic director of the men’s collections of the Lanvin house teamed up with the artist Cédric Rivrain, who signs illustrations as poetry, and create new series of exclusive t-shirts and sweatshirts.
For a true artistic collaboration, Lucas Ossendrijver gave carte blanche to Cédric Rivrain, Cedric’s signature is indeed on the label of each model, alongside the name Lanvin. The theme of the designer is found on the t-shirt and that of the painter on the sweatshirt. Unpublished drawings thus appear on the front of the pieces as on the sleeves. To multiply the effects of textures and materials, the patterns in color or black and with are in turn printed, applied or flocked.
“On the front of the t-shirt, a glance, ubiquitous in my work, weeps tears made of pencil sharpness … On the arms, a red and blue gum appears as a relief, to escape from flocked trimming patterns.
As for the sweatshirt, it displays on the front a palette of painter held by a male arm, lined with primary colors and shiny as spots of fresh paint … In the heart of the palette, an androgynous face is drawn … Large brushes are printed on the sleeve, along with color spots. ” -Cédric Rivrain
