The Dior Homme collection for summer 2017 designed by Kris Van Assche features an exclusive artistic collaboration with the japanese artist Toru Kamei. The tokyo-based painter specializes in botanical still life works: flowers rendered with a meticulous hand, enveloped in medieval ‘vanitas’ symbolism. For Dior Homme, his floral paintings become new icons that embody the rebellious ‘diy’ spirit of the collection.

Recreated as miniature jacquard patches, photo transfers and badge pins, they appear throughout the collection to decorate tailoring, shirting, denim, footwear and ‘dark light’ leathergoods.
