Ferragamo Fall 2016/2017

The trend that is coming to stay after the fashion week for men season fall 2016, is the new 70’s, which bring us to the decade, but with a fresh air showing, long scarfs, rollnecks, leopard prints, baggy trousers and colorful prints.

We realized that burgundy is clearly the color of the season as shown at the runways, in wardrobes such as velvet jackets and trousers. A must-have for this Winter is the oversized coat, you could try it on fur or you could also try it with some details in shearling. Here we have a review of some runways that got our attention.

Massimiliano Giornetti for Salvatore Ferragamo, sends out clashing patterns and weaves in this collection. Fashion artistry is reflected in this lineup, that was inspired by Andy Warhol pair ofFerragamo oxfords. He wore them to paint that is the reason why those shoes were found with scatter of different-colored paint spatters.

Have you ever pictured yourself in a velvet outfit from head to toes?

Etro comes up with this trend in his latest collection. The designer points out that the paisley velvet jacket can be worn during the day or at night if you know how to combine it properly.

Inspired by “Leaves of Grass” collection of poems written by Walt Whitman, It Feels like a deep dive into real nature. It has wardrobes with forest prints that reflect the dark nights in the woods.

Another characteristic patterns are lines, animal print, textures, embroidery. We can see the presence of the turtleneck in almost all the looks and also fraying edges in the neck and sleeves.

The influence of Art Deco takes over his wardrobes as the drawings and presence of silk are inspired by Jean Cocteau, and the European style in narrow tailoring from the dandy Alexis von Rosenberg, Baron de Redé.

Despite the fact that the collection started before the terrorist attacks, the line up turned out to be symbolic to this event with military inclination such as necklaces with pendant that look like missiles. These were designed in collaboration with Jade Jagger.
