For Gucci Spring 2017, each piece tells a story wonder, of fantasy and unconventionality without seeking mimicry with reality.
These stories rather act as magic lanterns, distorting mirrors that change the language, signs and established codes.
The narrative principle is not linear, but plays ruptures, searches, jumps, cross-references and unpredictable connections. In this archipelagic and metamorphic approach, thought overflows, undisciplined, without following the wake of the tradition. This is a thought deliberately unsystematic, and therefore active.
While it is true that thoughts held in closed systems are ruthless, because “they exclude gradually the unexpressed, eliminate it and drop behind them until he died of thirst” ( Elias Canetti), it must then destroy these systems to fertilize new meanings and cultivate the unexpected.
