Polo Ralph Lauren revisits its famous polo shirt in homage to Mother Nature: woven with yarn entirely derived from recycled plastic bottles, the ‘Earth Polo’ is dyed using an innovative process that does not use water. Each ‘Earth Polo’ represents on average 12plastic bottles.

Earth Polo is produced in partnership with First Mile, whose mission is to promote sustainable development while having a positive social impact on a global scale. Hand in hand with entrepreneurs in low-income communities, First Mile collects recyclable plastic bottles, which are then processed through a unique and environmentally friendly production program, to develop a quality yarn, and thus fabric .

When Ralph founded his company more than 50 years ago, he had the idea that all the pieces that we produce must be brought, loved and passed on to future generations. It is with this spirit of timelessness that we approach sustainability” says Halide Alagoz, Vice President executive and director of logistics and sustainable development. For decades, the famous Polo Ralph Lauren has been used as an international symbol to raise millions of dollars for charitable and humanitarian causes, such as the fight against cancer via the Pink Pony Fund, assistance to victims of natural disasters and support for the LGBTQ community.
