Paris Social Diary: While studying Fine Arts, you always knew the Art of Illustration was your thing?
Vincent Moustache: I always liked fashion and art. I began making prints in Inditex and that was where we put into practice.  When I moved to Paris after a trip to New York, everything changed  and decided to make a living with my illustrations.

Paris Social Diary: What was then your breakpoint to move forward and to become one of today’s best illustrators in the world?
Vincent Moustache: Everything changed when I moved to Paris three years ago, after a trip to New York. Here, along with social networks and friends, I managed to go slowly positioning.

j

Paris Social Diary: What stands out most of your artwork, which differ from those of other authors?
Vincent Moustache: The important thing for me is what I explain or try to say with the illustrarion, more than itself. I’m interested in the language of images, so that my illustration style allows the reader to create a final or a parallel universe to my illustration.

Yes, my style is a participatory art. I don’t show reality, but what I want it to be.

Paris Social Diary: Social Networks, obviously, have worked in your favor. Which is your favorite?
Vincent Moustache: I love Instagram. It’s like an album of stories and you can pick and choose those of interest to you. Snapchat is yet not very familiar. I feel it is no longer my generation! (Laughter)

kk

Paris Social Diary: In three words, How would you describe your art?
Vincent Moustache: Paris, Jazz and chic

jj

Paris Social Diary: How does the Latin American art infuence your universe?
Vincent Moustache: I love Frida Kahlo. Without being someone of fashion, she has influenced today being a fetish character for me. The Spanish-American culture (Seville) always takes me to the source. I always go to the origin of all, I’m not interested in interpreting but to highlight the ideological background.

j

Paris Social Diary: What is your favorite client and why?
Vincent Moustache: Delpozo. In fashion, you usually see backwards. However, Delpozo by Josep Font has managed to create contemporary but with some last details concepts. Not viceversa as the major French fashion houses, for example.
