Gucci announces a trilogy of photography exhibitions

Gucci inaugurates a magazine curated by Alessandro Michele in Beijing. The cocktail of the launch celebration guests included,  Coco Capitan, Dan Thawley, Chris Lee, jewelry designer Wan Baobao, artist Man Liao, artist Han Yajuan, opinion leader Mr. Bags, blogger Gu Ye.

Gucci announces a trilogy of photography exhibitions held in Hong Kong, Beijing and Taipei during summer 2017. This flagship collaboration, which follows the magazine’s worldwide publication in November 2016 adopts a highly didactic exhibition format to reveal the vast portfolio of images of a different woman photographer in each city.

The intimate family portraits photographed by Petra Collins in Budapest in Hungary will take center stage on the occasion of Art Basel Hong Kong, Days later, Coco Capitán’s anarchist writing as well as his emblematic photos of Rome and Florence will be on display in Beijing. Finally, a comprehensive portrait of Joshua Tree in California by Gia Coppola to Taipei. In addition, several objects and prints presented in the pages of A Magazine Curated By Alessandro Michele will be exhibited for the first time in a cabinet of curiosities designed by Dan Thawley, curator of the exhibition and editor of A Magazine Curated By. Each part of the exhibition includes an immersive projection experience that invites visitors to dive into the pages of the magazine through a psychedelic audiovisual collage that gives life to the universe of Alessandro Michele.
