For the first time in his career, Jean-Léonard Polo will have a personal exhibition of his latest work at Espace Carpeaux de Courbevoie. Corps pour elles focus solely on the feminine body, using parts of it as landscapes to narrate a story including small figurines and accessories. At first glance the composition appears to be a real landscape. After observing it for a moment one realizes the naked body actually is the landscape and it’s decorated with artificial elements on top.

The artist’s goal is to create an aesthetic and dreamy universe that invites the spectator to imagine their own stories. Jean-Léonard Polo imposes in his approach is that of do no retouching after shooting. All precision work and research is done before and requires careful preparation and
delicate.

Check the exposition from November 7th to December 22nd 2017.
