Now that the ready-to-wear summer/spring 2017 collection is currently in stores. Dior invites you to discover #TheWomenBehindTheLens, a project initiated by Maria Grazia Chiuri where nine women photographers deliver their own visions of the creations of our new Artistic Director.

Among these, Maripol photographed in backstage the looks designed by the Artistic Director with a polaroid, her favorite device. Choosen by Maria Grazia Chiuri to shoot the ready-to-wear summer/spring 2017 collection. Brigitte Lacombre illustrates the Artistic Director’s interpretation of Dior feminite. To embody this vision, the aesthetically spare series features the twins Ruth and May Bell as singular and assertive personalities. Known for the spare aesthetic of their portraits and still lifes, the photographer Brigitte Niedermair conceived a series of  in which the details colors, curves and materials of the collection’s key pieces form a dialogue with each other as well as elements of the House`s heritage. Lastly, Janette Beckman traced the development of the collection step by step, from the production of Maria Grazia Chiuri’s creations in the Dior ateliers to backstage in the final moments before the show started.
